Security GuardSecurity Guards with Second Baptist Church are responsible for maintaining the safety and security of Church and School property, employees, students, members and guests, by monitoring parking lots, buildings and surveillance equipment. Respond to emergency situations and medical calls for service.Guards are to ensure that all policies and procedures are followed to prevent theft, injury or unauthorized access to property and buildings. Perform customer service to those needing assistance, such as escorts, vehicle jump starts, slim jim.Act as a deterrent to criminal activity by being ever vigilant and aware of their surroundings.Key Responsibilities:Patrol and MonitorIncident ResponseAssist in any evacuationDetain or Escort SubjectsDocument and photograph incidentsWork well with Law EnforcementQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent21 Years of ageNo criminal recordGood CreditAbility to be licensed by the State of Texas as an Armed Security OfficerGood driving recordAbility to remain calm in stressful situationsStrong observation and communication skillsPass a state Psychological testPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
