Assistant Production Manager - Food Manufacturing

Location: Vernon, CA

Compensation: $1,750-$2,000 per week (Depending on Experience)

Schedule: Day Shift | Start Time: 7:00 AM-8:00 AM

Position Overview

An established food manufacturing company in Vernon, CA is seeking an experienced Assistant Production Manager to help oversee daily production operations in a fast-paced meat processing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in food or meat manufacturing, and the ability to maintain production efficiency, quality, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Manager in overseeing daily plant production operations.
• Supervise, train, and motivate production employees to meet daily goals.
• Monitor production schedules, workflow, staffing, and overall efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with USDA, food safety, GMP, and company safety standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and control costs.
• Coordinate with maintenance, quality assurance, and warehouse departments to maintain smooth operations.
• Assist with employee scheduling, performance management, and resolving production issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production environment.

Qualifications

• Previous production management or supervisory experience in food manufacturing required.
• Meat processing or meat manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of USDA regulations, GMPs, HACCP, and workplace safety practices.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
• Must be flexible with working hours based on production needs.

Compensation & Benefits

• Weekly Pay: $1,750-$2,000, depending on experience.
• Annual Equivalent: Approximately $91,000-$104,000.
